As with all research, approach with a critical eye. Always double-check a fact to see if more than a few experts say the same thing.
*EBSCO - Searchasaurus, Kids Search, & more!
Grades 1st-5th: If you’re looking for information for a research project, try this site! There’s Searchasaurus: An encyclopedia for primary grades. Kids Search: An encyclopedia for grades 3-5. Student Research Center: search for information from magazine & newspaper articles! There’s even a database here for medical topics!

Grades 3rd-12th: Articles, images, videos, and audio recordings all about Arkansas History and Culture!
*World Book Student
Grades 1st-5th: If EBSCO doesn’t have the information you’re looking for, try this! This encyclopedia database is a little more advanced.
Grades 5th-12th: More suited for high school and adult research, this contains more-than-basic information and is a little more challenging to navigate.
Grades 5th-12th: Also called "American Mosaic Suite". Contains African American Experience; American Indian Experience; Latino American Experience - an online collection featuring reference content, hundreds of primary documents, and thousands of images.
Grades K-12th: A website finder to use when you’ve already checked EBSCO and World Book and still can’t find the answers you need. Keeps you from wading through thousands of “hits”, these websites are considered “possibly very good”, but enter cautiously. And always check the sources!
Grades K-12th: Central Arkansas Library System - if you need to borrow books from a public library, see which ones are near you!
AR Book Finder
Grades K-5th: Did you know that the books you are reading at home most likely have an Accelerated Reader quiz to go with it? Get AR credit for those books by looking up the book level and quiz numbers! Also, a great way to generate lists books to buy for those readers in your home!
Grades K-1st: A free public service to teach children to read with phonics. We use Starfall in our kindergarten classes!
