Schools across the country participated in Get Your Teach On’s Rock Your School. The event encourages teachers to think outside-the-box, and often in line with a theme.
Crystal Hill Elementary decided to educate students through the decades and included lessons on how to make a lava lamp, the significance of the Berlin Wall and last impact of Hurricane Katrina.
Each grade level was assigned a decade to learn about the events of that time. Teachers and students both enjoyed the creativity of the lessons.
