Baker Ice Cream

Schools across the country participated in Get Your Teach On’s Rock Your School. The event encourages teachers to think outside-the-box, and often in line with a theme.

Baker Elementary decided to educate students with ice cream, including reading books and making graphs using ice cream. They also taught opportunity cost by making ice cream sundaes. The students were only allowed to spend $5 to build their sundae. Ice cream was $2 and each topping cost around a dollar so the students could not get everything they wanted. They had to make economic choices to make their sundae.
