Miles Eruagbere is a third grader at PFE. He is giving out “kindness rocks” to people who pass by his house. He has gathered rocks from his yard and has written kind things on them. He has had 12 “customer” including a police officer.

Arkansas Activities Association extended the "COVID-19 Dead Period" for all AAA member schools through May 30, 2020. This means that all teams are not allowed to practice, lift weights together, play games, or travel to competition. Athletic facilities are also closed. Spring sports competition remains suspended.

STUDENT EXPECTATIONS FOR AMI INSTRUCTION: We understand that many families may experience challenges in scheduling. The most important expectation is completing and submitting assignments as close as possible to when they are due. Teachers will offer digital face to face lessons with students 2-4 days per week. Students should make an effort to attend live instruction. Sessions will be recorded. The Maumelle Fire Department is turning to Facebook to show students and families some of their equipment this morning! Firefighters are broadcasting at 10 a.m. and will display their state-of-the-art firetrucks, gear, and the firehouse. This is the current list of locations where grab-and-go meals will be provided during the week of spring break (March 23-March 27). Thank you to World Central Kitchen, Clinton Presidential Center and the City of Little Rock, AR for the joint effort in feeding our children.
Governor Hutchinson just announced that all schools K-12 in Arkansas will remain closed until April 17. We will update AMI plans, nutrition availability and more as soon as possible.

March is Women's History Month. Prior to Hillary Rodham Clinton's time as First Lady of the United States, Secretary of State and New York Senator, she co-founded Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families. Clinton was inducted into the Arkansas Women's Hall of Fame in 2015.
March is Women's History Month. Raye Jean Jordan Montague was the first person to design a ship using a computer system during the 1970s. She joined the U.S. Navy in 1956. Montague was born in Little Rock and was inducted into the Arkansas Women's Hall of Fame in 2018.

March is Women's History Month. Bessie Grace Boehm Moore created the first county library in Pine Bluff and served on the National Advisory Committee on Libraries under President Lyndon Johnson. Moore was inducted into the Arkansas Women's Hall of Fame in 2018.
PCSSD Nutrition and Transportation are teaming up to deliver meals to 21 drop off sites this week between 11:30am - 12:30pm from Tuesday, March 17 thru Friday, March 20. These meals are for children ages 18 and under. http://ow.ly/Oary50yNkG7
